Most timer pages hand you a number and hope it was the one you wanted. This one starts with no opinion: tap the minutes, type what you need, press start. Seven minutes for a poached egg, three for a set you are making up as you go, forty for the piece of work you have been circling all morning. Nothing here is rounded off to a length somebody decided was popular.
Typing works the way a microwave keypad does. Click a group of digits and what you type replaces it, shifting left as you keep going, so 7 becomes 07 and then 73. The arrow keys nudge a group one step at a time. A value that overflows its usual range is folded into the next unit when you commit it, which means ninety in the minutes is a perfectly good thing to type: it settles as 1:30:00, and now there is an hours group to type into as well.
The length you set stays with this page, so shutting the tab and coming back tomorrow finds it where you left it. RESET brings back that same length rather than some factory number, because here your number is the only number there is. If you want a particular length in the address, to bookmark or to send to someone, add it: ?t=7m, ?t=90s or ?t=1h30m.
Space starts and stops, R resets, F fills the screen with the readout, which is what you want when it has to be legible from the other side of a room. The countdown is anchored to the clock rather than counted in ticks, so a background tab, a sleeping laptop and a reload all resolve to the correct remaining time.
Two digits per group, so 99 minutes and 99 seconds in one go, which commits as 1:40:39. From there an hours group appears and takes two digits of its own.
Yes, for this page and in this browser. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no account: the length sits in local storage, along with whether the countdown was still running when you left.
Use those when they fit, because a page that opens at exactly 25 minutes beats typing 25. This one is for the lengths nobody builds a page for, and for the times you do not know the number until you are looking at it.
